Miele opens new Melbourne gallery, more cities to come

By Patrick Avenell

Miele has today opened its new South Melbourne gallery, with two new gallery openings scheduled over the next two weeks. The Miele Gallery South Melbourne is the second Victorian gallery, with the first being at the head office in Knoxfield.

Each Australian Miele Gallery is designed to present its range of domestic and commercial products in a lifestyle setting. Appliances on display include cooking appliances, refrigeration, dishwashers, coffee machines, laundry care and floor care.

Next week, on 19 August, Miele will open its new gallery in Brisbane. Then on 26 August, the new Miele Gallery Perth will be launched. According to the company, “plans for Miele Galleries in Sydney, Adelaide and Auckland, New Zealand, are currently underway (sic)”.

These Australian galleries are designed to mirror Miele displays in international locales, such as Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa.

“With the introduction of three new Miele Galleries this month, we begin a new era that gives Miele greater presence within the Australian community and truly make a statement about our premium appliances and prestigious brand image (sic).

“These Miele Galleries are also complemented by more than 60 retailer installations around Australia, many of which have already opened,” said Miele managing director Michael Jeanes.

Miele Galleries are generally open during business hours, with the major exception being the South Melbourne gallery, which also opens on Saturday.
