Beyonwiz launch Australia's most 'Feature Packed' PVR

Beyonwiz has continued to raise the standards bar in PVR technology for Australian consumers with the launch of the Beyonwiz DP-P2 High Definition PVR.

The Beyonwiz DP-P2 is set to be the most Feature Packed PVR in the market, with a 320 GB HDD you can Pause and Rewind live HDTV and record over 30hrs in HD or 80Hrs in SD. Like all Beyonwiz STB's and PVR's users can connect the DP-P2 to their home computer network and playback movies, pictures and music directly from their PC, external HDD or from a variety of supported memory cards. If the user owns more than one Beyonwiz unit they can even playback recordings from one unit to another, so if you record a program in the lounge room on your first Beyonwiz you can play it back in the bedroom on your second.

Perhaps the most exciting feature of the Beyonwiz DP-P2 is the Line Input allowing user to connect almost any AV device and record to the DP-P2 internal HDD. Users can connect their PayTV box and utilize most of the Beyonwiz PVR features, when you are viewing your payTV service via the Beyonwiz "Line Input" the Beyonwiz will automatically hold a buffer of up to 2 hours so you can pause and rewind live payTV. You can set timers to coincide with your payTV box and you can even record a program from your payTV box and your free to air digital simultaneously while playing back a previously recorded program.

Digital Products Group General Manager Jai Kemp is very excited to finally have this feature.

"I have been co-developing and importing STB and PVR's for almost 10 years now, and the number one question that a consumer asks when enquiring about one of our products is whether it can record Pay TV to the HDD as well as FTA TV, well now I can finally give them the answer that they want to hear.

"The reason that PVR manufactures have not been able to implement this feature is that it is almost technically impossible to achieve using the current PVR chip-sets, thankfully the extremely talented engineers at Beyonwiz thought outside the box and invented the technology to give our customers what they have been asking for."

The Beyonwiz DP-P2 also supports IceTV Remote so Beyonwiz users can choose from multiple remote recording options using any web browser, web-enabled mobile phone or while using the all new IceTV Widget. By simply logging in at www.icetv.com.au (using their PC or Mac), www.remoterecord.com.au (using a mobile phone), or while using the extremely popular IceTV Widget, Beyonwiz PVR users can now manage their TV recordings remotely with just a few simple ‘clicks’.

The Beyonwiz DP-P2 is available now and has a RRP of $999.
