The new 7.1-channel receivers incorporate an array of industry-leading features including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding to deliver the ultimate in high-resolution multichannel audio realism from these new audio formats and compatible Blu-ray Discs™ and players. They also incorporate leading-edge Faroudja DCDi Cinema digital-video processing providing upscaled and enhanced 1080p output from all video sources. 

Each of the new receivers feature HDMI switching with three HDMI inputs, are HDMI 1.3-compatible and can pass video signals to 1080p. The AVR355 and AVR255 also process 7.1-channel PCM audio delivered to their HDMI inputs, and include HDMI repeater functionality, enabling the use of longer HDMI cable lengths. 

To guide users in setting up their home entertainment system and verify that their components are connected and configured correctly the AVR355 and AVR255 feature the newly developed Harman Kardon high-definition full-colour on-screen menu system that utilises both pictures and text.

Matching with the menu system’s ease of use, the receivers have newly designed remote and front panel controls with simplified, more flexible and more intuitive operation. (Read: Less customer hassles).

Complementing their best-in-class performance and ease of use, multi-award winning designer Daniel Ashcraft (Ashcraft Designs) was engaged to create the unique new design. All the receivers have an elegant, minimalist appearance, with gracefully rounded corners, a gloss-black top panel and dark graphite lower panel, all accented by soft white illumination.

And the icing on the cake? A new range of AV Solutions priced from just $1,599 (rrp), combining the new AV receivers with Harman Kardon or famous JBL 5.1 speaker systems in a variety of configurations to provide consumers with the ultimate surround experience for their High Definition sources and flat panel TVs.
