SYDNEY: Sharp has announced the release of their new 1100 watt sensor microwave oven (R-490N(S). The 36cm turntable is designed to accommodate both large family meals and light snacks.

The microwave features 10 pre-programmed recipes for main meals and, for express cooking, three defrost menus and six “express cook menus”. An inbuilt sensor offers a further 16 sensor cook menus and six sensor reheat menus.

Additional features include an LCD information panel, push-open door, child lock, alarm function and timer/clock.

The Sharp R-490N(S) is available generally for RRP $604.
