Electrolux Europe major appliances head departs
By Chris Nicholls
STOCKHOLM: Electrolux major appliances head in Sweden, Magnus Yngen, has announced his departure to become president and chief executive of former sister company Husqvarna.
Yngen’s departure comes after almost 13 years at Electrolux. He entered the managerial side in 2002, when Electrolux appointed him head of floor care and small appliances.
Husqvarna was spun-off from Electrolux in 2006 and is now listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Yngen joined Electrolux in 1995 before being appointed head of Floor Care and Small Appliances in 2002. In 2006, he was appointed head of Major Appliances Europe.
Yngen will start his new position with Husqvarna at the latest on 1 October. A search for a new European head of major appliances has commenced, the company said.
