SYDNEY: Fisher & Paykel announced the appointment of Mark Rains as national business development manager – cooking, effective immediately.

Located at Fisher & Paykel’s head office in Lidcombe, Sydney, Rains will work alongside senior management and work closely with all state and sales managers.

“I look forward to the challenge of identifying new markets and attracting new customers to expand F&P’s product reach and profit revenue,” Rains said.

“In spite of a tough beginning to the 2008 Australian economy, Fisher & Paykel is well poised to take advantage of the launch of its new Izona cooking range, clearly positioning the company at the top end of Australia’s cooking appliance market.”

Rains joined F&P from Blanco, where he was in a national sales role for four years.
