Q-AV ‘truly sensational, room-filling sound, that visually ‘disappears'

Q-AV: the disappearing home theatre solution

Q Acoustics home theatre system

UK Based Armour Home Electronics with their Q Acoustics design team have once again revolutionized home theatre, with Q-AV, the décor friendly cinema system.

This innovative and extremely discrete new home theatre system is set to make conventional “sub/sat” systems obsolete overnight, comprising of revolutionary new technologies this system offers a sound performance that is hard to beat in a package that is hard to see.

The new Q-AV boasts numerous innovative features, and sees the world’s first use of state-of-the-art ‘BMR’ (Balanced Mode Radiator) drive units. However, the real success with the Q-AV package is that it delivers a truly sensational, room-filling sound, that visually ‘disappears’. The front left, centre and right speakers (LCR) fit into a patented integrated bracket which adjusts for overall width and depth, allowing the speakers to be perfectly aligned with any flat screen television from 37” to 50” literally becoming part of the television. The equally flexible trombone-like grille assembly ensures an exact fit and to complete the illusion. The magnetic Q Acoustics badge can be removed leaving only the television branding.

With a television fixed flat to a wall, the LCR bracket would mount similarly although other available options include a combined television / LCR table stand and cantilever wall bracket.

The BMR drive units use NXT™ licensed technology which combines piston-like motion of moving coil drive units with that of flat exciter panels, which offers dynamic, open, and detailed sound. They also exhibit an extraordinarily wide soundstage (almost 180 degrees). Uniquely, this enables the rear speakers to be mounted discreetly using their integrated bracket or shelf stand at any height without loss of sonic performance.

The ‘powerhouse’ of the 5.1 package is the matching subwoofer. This 120 Watt unit also ‘disappears’ within the living environment with its slim line wall mountable design (bracket included). Removing the need to take up valuable floor space, this subwoofer's unimposing size belies its high impact bass performance.
