Sunbeam appoints Court successor

By Chris Nicholls

SYDNEY; Sunbeam has appointed former Fisher & Paykel and LG marketing manager Stephen Reid to the role of kitchen appliances marketing manager.

Reid takes over the role from Damian Court, who left in February to take up a managerial position at Godfreys’ parent company, ICS.

Reid started his career at Akai before moving onto his positions at LG and Fisher & Paykel. While at LG, he was responsible for overseeing the ‘Life’s Good’ slogan release and resulting marketing campaigns. More recently, he joined Workout World and also worked at the Australian Jockey Club, where he was responsible for the successful “Princess Campaign”.

Commenting on the appointment, Sunbeam chief executive Jonathan Lord said, “We are thrilled that Stephen has accepted this role with us.  He is well-respected throughout the industry and we are looking forward to him adding value to our business.”

Reid will take up his new position on April 28, 2008.
