Panasonic shuffles B2B deck

By Chris Nicholls

SYDNEY: Panasonic Australia has appointed AV/IT Business Systems Group manager Mark Deere-Jones as its Business Systems Group director, following the departure of Ben Bowley.

Bowley, who had only been in the role for just under a year, will move onto an unspecified role later this month.

Panasonic Australia managing director, Steve Rust, said Bowley had been an “outstanding” director and Panasonic appreciated the “significant contribution he has made to the success of BSG.”

“We wish him well in the future,” he said.

Rust said Deer-Jones’ “extensive experience in marketing and sales for the enterprise and SME markets will stand him in good stead in this new role.”

Deere-Jones held previous B2B roles at Canon and AAPT.

As a result of Deere-Jones’ upward move, Panasonic is currently shortlisting replacements, said a spokesperson. Michael Litherland will head up the AV/IT team in the short-term as acting manager.
