SYDNEY: Fisher & Paykel has taken out the GfK Number One Award for the Dishwashers and Washing Machines categories for the second year running, thanks largely to its AquaSmart and DishDrawer products. 

The awards are based on the overall category sales from January to December 2007, as measured by market researcher GfK. 

Fisher & Paykel national marketing manager, Peter Russell, was “delighted” to have taken out both categories.

“The key washing machine category win is a glowing testimony to our laundry team, AquaSmart and hard work at retail level,” he said. 

“Winning the Dishwashing category for a second consecutive year is [also] extremely pleasing. The Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer has been one of the most innovative products in kitchen appliances in the past decade,” he said.
