SYDNEY: Australian retailers will judge between Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, LG, Samsung and Westinghouse to determine who will be crowned the king of the refrigeration category at next month’s 2008 Electrical Retailing Awards (ERAs).
These five brands have been nominated as category finalists for the 2008 ERAs based on their chart-topping performance in GfK value data for the 2007 calendar year.
Australian electrical retailers from groups including Betta Electrical, The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, Retravision and Narta are currently in the process of voting to decide which brand will take out the award, which will be presented at a Sydney awards night on Friday 4 April.
Retailers will judge each refrigeration brand based on design/appearance and innovation; profitability/margin; promotional/advertising support; sales representation and service backup; and sales growth to category.
These five finalists could also be in the running for a Product of the Year Award at the ERAs. The criteria for this award includes design innovation; opening up a new market; and unique selling points.
The ERA Awards will be held at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney on Friday 4 April 2008. To book tickets email Ana Melo e Azevedo at ana@intermedia.com.au or phone (02) 9660 2113.
