SYDNEY: HTC has launched its first Telstra Next G device – the flagship Touch Dual850 smartphone.

The Touch Dual850 has both a touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keypad and uses Window’s Mobile 6. The camera is two megapixels and it has a second camera for video calls.

The Telstra customised model will have access to Telstra’s My Place portal, which gives users access to e-mail, video calling, video messaging, Sensis Search, Whereis Maps and Foxtel by Mobile. The phone’s built-in ‘Live HTC Homescreen’ has constant time and weather display, quick launcher, and one-touch ringtone settings.

The Touch Dual850 is available now from all Testra shops and resellers with a recommended retail price of $929. It is also available on a Telstra post paid $80 plan.

“The Touch Dual850 is built for speed and efficiency, letting users get what they want when they want it. Combined with the power of Telstra’s Next G network, it gives users a complete solution to their mobile needs,” said HTC Australia and New Zealand managing director John Featherstone.
