SYDNEY: Accounting and workflow software provider, Happen Business, today announced a three-way e-commerce initiative with distributor Ingram Micro and one of their principal customers, retail buying group Leading Edge computers.
Under the initiative, Happen Business has integrated its Jim2 Business Engine software into Ingram Micro’s reseller e-commerce website to enable true end-to-end supply chain management.
Leading Edge Computer stores across Australia and New Zealand can now view real-time stock pricing, product availability and place orders direct from Ingram Micro’s warehouse.
This initiative will give customers like Leading Edge a competitive advantage when selecting from the thousands of IT products from all of Ingram Micro’s vendor partners and a dramatic decrease in quoting and ordering time.
“The advantage of having Ingram’s warehouse at your fingertips at all times is significant,” said Happen Business managing director, Paul Berger.
“As an IT reseller, Leading Edge Computers is realising the benefits of fast and efficient IT product ordering with better stock availability and pricing information.”
Leading Edge Computers general manager, Ross Whitelaw, said the initiative will be of significant benefit as there was no cost to members to use this system.
“Leading Edge Computers has recognised that an investment had to be made to ensure that our members had access to the best possible supply chain management information,” he said.
“The partnership between Ingram Micro, Happen Business and Leading Edge Computers is one the most significant to be formed since the group was launched 10 years ago.”
All three companies have worked closely together on this e-commerce initiative, with Happen Business providing the technical knowledge to successfully integrate its software with Ingram Micro’s popular TechLink web site.
