Betta Electrical expands into the Blue Mountains again

By Martin Vedris

SYDNEY: National franchisor BSR Australia Limited has expanded its regional NSW presence with a prominent electrical retailer in the Blue Mountains reverting back to the Betta Electrical brand name from another retail group.

Macarthur Betta Electrical and Gas, which is located in Katoomba, the main tourist centre in the Blue Mountains, officially reopened its doors as a Betta Electrical store last week. The 350 square metre Macarthur Betta Electrical and Gas is also an AGL energy agent.

BSR Australia General Manager Ian Brown said store owner James Bechely-Crundall’s decision to return to the Betta Electrical brand was a vote of confidence in the franchise.

“James believes in what BSR Australia is offering to retailers and we are anticipating more business owners around the state will follow his lead,” Brown said.

“Betta Electrical has been achieving the objectives we undertook on behalf of our shareholders and we are looking forward to setting the same high standards at our revitalised Katoomba store.”

While BSR Australia would not provide the details of the previous retail group that this store belonged to, Current.com.au can confirm that the store originally opened as a Betta Electrical before joining Retravision and has now converted back to Betta.
