Asko announces $300 pre-paid credit card promotion

By Martin Vedris

SYDNEY: From 1 July 2007, any consumer who buys any Asko washer and dryer at the same time will receive a $300 bonus in the form of an Asko Visa card.

It is a pre-paid card that comes loaded with the $300 credit for consumers to use anywhere that Visa is accepted. After the consumer has used up all the available $300 credit, the card cannot be reloaded with additional credit.

“We have offered cash back promotions in the past but using the Visa card makes running the promotion much simpler,” said Asko marketing manager James Vogdanos.

“The consumers chase up the card redemption themselves using the redemption forms. So the retailers can concentrate on selling the product.

“Also, the card reinforces the Asko brand every time the consumer takes the card out and uses it. The bucket image that we use to reinforce that Asko washing machines save water also appears on the card, so it ties in with our marketing strategy.”

The promotion will begin on the 1st July and conclude on the 31st December 2007.

Asko account managers will be visiting retailers with new point of sale and new redemption forms. Redemption forms can also be found on the Asko website www.asko.com.au.

All the consumer needs to do is simply fill out a fully completed redemption form and attach it to a purchase receipt and post it to Asko. Within 28 days they will be posted out an Asko Visa card pre-loaded with $300.

Once the consumer receives the Asko visa card they simply go to www.ichoose.com.au or call 1800 171 510 to activate the card.
